Family Counseling

Often family members influence each other without realizing it and without recognizing family dynamics in general.  Everyone in the family is interacting and influencing each other on multiple levels.  We work with the family as a unit to support the individual members as well as the family as a whole through the process of exploring and understanding these interactions in order to improve and strengthen the familial relationships.

We maintain a No Secrets policy, anything brought to the therapists attention outside of therapy will be discussed during the next session with all parties present. This decreases manipulation and confusion overall.

During sessions the family will be provided education on identifying and adjusting unspoken rules within the family, engaged in communication exercises, engaging in family activities to demonstrate unspoken or difficult feelings within the family.
